24 травня 2026 року члени Асоціації відвідали музей «Барви стратегічного Полісся» в селі Висока Піч Житомирської області.
Початком музею був краєзнавчий музей села. Працею небайдужих він перетворився із невеликого кабінету при місцевій школі на різноманітні експозиції з історії села та повсякденного життя його мешканців: від металургії до збирання полуниць, від реконструкції шкільного класу до пам’яті про односельців, що захищають Україну у війні з росією.
Дуже цікавою є частина експозиції музею про історію 50-ї дивізії Ракетних військ стратегічного призначення Збройних сил СРСР, яка розташовувалась в околицях Високої Пічі у період 1961–1991 років. В музеї зібрані унікальні експонати з історії 43-ї ракетної армії, надані Союзом ветеранів ракетних військ стратегічного призначення, яких немає в жодному іншому музеї України.
Окремої уваги заслуговує експозиція, присвячена діям американської авіації над територією України під час Другої світової війни (операція «Френтік»).
Асоціація висловлює щиру подяку директору музею Вадиму Дацюку за надзвичайно цікаву і змістовну екскурсію.
On 24 May 2026, members of the Association visited the museum "Colors of Strategic Polissya" in the village of Vysoka Pich, Zhytomyr region.
The museum began as a local history museum in the village. Through the work of enthusiasts, it transformed from a small cabinet at the local school into various exhibitions on the history of the village and the everyday life of its inhabitants: from metallurgy to strawberry picking, from the reconstruction of a school classroom to the memory of fellow villagers defending Ukraine in the war with Russia.
A very interesting part of the museum's exhibition is devoted to the history of the 50th Division of the Strategic Missile Forces of the USSR Armed Forces, which was located in the vicinity of Vysoka Pich during 1961–1991. The museum contains unique exhibits from the history of the 43rd Missile Army, provided by the Union of Veterans of Strategic Missile Forces, that are not found in any other museum in Ukraine.
Special attention is paid to the exhibition dedicated to the actions of American aviation over the territory of Ukraine during World War II (Operation Frantic).
